Contemporary Pilates is a modern evolution of classical Pilates, originally developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century. It blends traditional principles with creative, functional movement to build strength, mobility and control in a way that feels relevant to real life.
-
Everyone. Whether you are completely new to movement or already very active, contemporary Pilates meets you where you are. Expect improved strength, posture, stability and body awareness, all tailored to your body.
-
Yes, Pilates can be incredibly helpful for improving posture, strengthening deep core muscles and addressing muscular imbalances.
That said, Sunday is a contemporary Pilates studio and our group classes are movement led rather than clinical. If you are rehabbing a specific injury, recovering from surgery or need targeted rehabilitation, we may not be the best fit in a group class setting.
In these cases, we recommend starting with a 1:1 private session for more personalised support or seeking guidance from a clinical or rehab focused Pilates provider.
-
Yes. If a class is full, you can join the waitlist via the Mindbody app or website.
If a space becomes available 12 hours or more before the class start time, you will be automatically added to the class.
If a space opens up within 12 hours of the class, you will receive a text or email asking if you would still like the space. Please make sure your communication settings are switched on so you do not miss the message.
-

We offer 1:1s, 1:2s, small group privates and group bookings. Visit our private classes page to find out more.

It depends on you and your routine. Even one class a week can make a difference, but most people feel their best with two to three sessions.
Consistency and mixing up class styles is where the magic really happens.
